Destiny Development International is a non-profit organization dedicated to the training of leadership in communities and educational settings.
We have been holding teacher seminars for the last six years in Uganda , East Africa . During that time we have gone into the villages and introduced new teaching techniques and training. Participants have gained skills in lesson planning, relationships, and teaching techniques. We have focused on encouraging all teachers in their work. We have also trained up a team of Ugandan teachers to plan, hold and teach in these seminars. Last year we expanded by holding two teacher seminars in Rwanda for the first time, led by the Ugandan team. In essence, we teach teachers how to teach. Each seminar costs from $500 to $800 to put on, depending on location and travel expenses.
We are presently engaged in Uganda with helping to structure an education system in the 6 primary and 1 secondary Yesu Akwagala schools run by Ugandan Christian Outreach Ministries. We will also be helping to improve teaching skills and developing and implementing all teacher training for the organization. The goal is to improve, encourage and develop the curriculum for Ugandans to succeed in their culture from a biblical standpoint. The projected costs of this project is still under consideration. At this point we are looking at a $50,000 introduction cost.
DDI has been asked to help an organization in Nigeria with training teacher leaders in teaching Godly character in their schools. Planning is in progress.
We have been asked to consider helping to build schools in Cambodia and are presently exploring that opportunity.
We are also involved in encouraging and consulting with two U.S. Churches and their children’s ministries.
