Uganda, East Africa GHCC Youth Outreach
According to Habitat for Humanity and the United Nations, the world is experiencing a global housing crisis. About 1.6 billion people live in substandard housing and 100 million are homeless. No where is that more evident than in Uganda, East Africa.
“Doors of Hope,” is a vision for youth to help meet that need, by constructing homes for some of the most disadvantaged in the world. The youth of Generational Hope Christian Center had a unique opportunity to help fulfill that dream and make a difference. In August 2009 a team set out to complete the building of a three room orphanage home for 12-18 children and a matron caregiver.
